Join me for an evening of wax sculpting in my new berlin studio to create your own unique silver piece using the lost wax technique. It can be a ring, a pendant or even earrings. I will guide you through the creation of your piece of jewellery as we chat, sip and bite. Make it a date with your partner, friends or yourself.

The course is designed for a small group of 6 people and lasts 4 hours. The workshop will held in either german or english, depending on who is participating.
Wax sculpting is a slow and gentle activity that requires calm and dedication. Once you get into the flow you will be surprised at the results you can achieve.
We’ll begin with a short introduction, followed by an overview of the lost wax casting technique. You’ll learn how wax is used in jewellery-making, including how to create different textures and patterns on wax.
After that, we’ll move on to your personal project. Together, we’ll go through your ideas, starting from sketches (or simply an idea you bring in your head or on your phone), then analyzing the shape and deciding on the best type of wax and metal for your piece. Be open to adapting your ideas to the medium as we work.
Once the workshop is finished, I will take care of the casting, polishing, and finishing of your wax model in the chosen metal. Your jewellery will be ready for pickup in the studio within 3-4 weeks.
Shipping
If you prefer your piece shipped rather than collected, I can arrange that at an additional cost: €6 within Germany and €15 within Europe (to be paid on the workshop day).
Price
€200 — all tools and materials are provided.
The fee includes the casting of one medium-sized silver piece.
If you’d like, your piece can also be gold-plated or set with stones for an extra charge (depending on the design and weight). If you already have stones you’d like to use, feel free to bring them along.
By the end of the course you will have a complete idea of what the process of making a piece of jewellery through the lost-wax technique is and you will be able to turn your ideas into reality by creating the wax for your jewellery from scratch.
After the workshop, your wax model will be cast in the chosen metal, and polished and finished by me. Your piece will be ready in approximately 3-4 weeks.

The workshop can take up to 4 hours. Since it is always nice to not be in a rush, especially when working creatively, it would be super nice if you could bring some extra time towards the end (instead of e.g. rushing to the next appointment).

No prior knowledge is required for this workshop and you do not need any special equipment or clothing. Please just make sure you are not wearing your favourite pieces, as some of the working materials could be staining.

There will be water, tea, coffee and a selection of snacks. If you need any other kinds refreshments, feel free to bring them with you.

The material for an average sized object (up to 15g) is included in the price. Going larger is possible at additional costs. Going gold is also possible at additional costs and delivery time.
